Sorrento - Transport Service

Local Transport
by

The local transport service offers two different bus routes: the SITA (blu route) and the CIRCUMVESUVIANA (orange route).

It is very important to check the company name written on the bus, not the colour on the buses, as sometimes the blu route buses are green-white coloured.

You can buy the ticket at the Circumvesuviana station and in the authorised shops, bars and travel agencies.

Monthly and weekly travelcards are available at the "Circumvesuviana" Station.

- SITA buses run daily to Amalfi, S.Agata and Massa Lubrense (making all the intermediate stops). There’s usually a bus every half an hour departing from Sorrento train station.

The price for one way ticket SORRENTO–AMALFI is 2,60 Euros. For any other closer destination the price will be lower. Once you get on the bus, your ticket must be validated in the apposite machine. There's a several fine in case of unvalidated tickets.

- CIRCUMVESUVIANA buses run any 20 minutes from Sorrento to all the surrounding towns. The ticket is only 1 Euro for any destination.

Unfortunately there isn't a night bus service in Sorrento: the last bus is around 12 pm and the last train is at 11.30 pm.

Anyway there’s always a 24 hours cab service and for who wants to drive around without any limitation, the best solution is probably renting a scooter, a bike or a car.
